Bangor Museums
Situated in downtown Bangor, The Bangor Museum and History Center is easy to find. Collections of the museum include 10,000 photographs of regional interest, the large Quipus collection of historic clothing, and Civic War artifacts.
An Anthropology Musuem which displays exhibits and artifacts dedicated to exploring and understanding anthropology and humans' reliance on culture. Closed Mondays and holidays.
This children's museum features exhibits on anatomy, nature, geography and more, all aimed at teaching children about their world through interaction. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30am until 5pm and Sunday from 12pm until 5pm.
The Maine Air Museum can be found at the Bangor International Airport. There is a collection of artifacts on display, which tell the tale of Maine's aviation history.
